KONRAD SŁOKA
Geboren in Stettin. Mit dem Herzen eines Musikers, der Seele eines Songwriters und den Talenten eines Multiinstrumentalisten hat Konrad einen eigenen, einzigartigen Weg im Musikbusiness beschritten. Seine musikalische Reise begann im Alter von 8 Jahren, als er zum ersten Mal Cello spielte und eine lebenslange Leidenschaft für das Cello entfachte. Während seiner Hochschulzeit fühlte er sich von der Faszination der Trompete angezogen und verdiente sich schließlich das Diplom als gelernter Trompeter an der Musikakademie in Stettin. In diesem Moment begann Konrads Kreativität wirklich zu blühen und er wagte sich in die Welt des Songwritings. Die musikalische Entwicklung hörte damit nicht auf. Fasziniert von der rohen Energie des Punkrocks gründete er seine erste Band. In den Folgejahren spielte er verschiedene Rollen in diversen Bands vom Leadsänger über den Bassisten zum Gitarristen.
Letztlich fand Konrad als Solist mit der Akustikgitarre seine wahre Berufung und die Leidenschaft des Geschichtenerzählens begann. 2018 markierte ein entscheidender Moment seine Karriere, als der die Bühne von "The Voice Of Poland" betrat. Seine Talente als Songwriter wurden anerkannt und er begeisterte sein Publikum mit seinen eigenen Kompositionen.
Seit 2020 arbeitet Konrad mit Musikern aus seiner Heimatstadt zusammen. So auch mit Borys Sawaszkiewicz dem Kopf von "CHANGO".
CHANGO
Chango, a group of four talented musicians known for gracing some of the largest stages across Poland and beyond. Their musical journey is characterised by a rich tapestry of influences and a penchant for experimenting with the a of live music. Chango's musical philosophy is a fusion of diverse traditions, and they've embarked on a mission to cra an unconventional style that pushes the boundaries of music creation. Their live pe ormances are a testament to this experimental spirit, making every show a unique and captivating experience. The qua et's journey has been sprinkled with notewo hy collaborations. They've had the privilege of sharing the stage with luminaries like Apostolis Anthimos (known for his work with SBB) and Mikołaj Trzaska (of Miłosc, Łoskot, and Shofar fame). Joining forces with Jacek "Budyn" Szymkiewicz (from Pogodno and Babu Król), they formed the band #UDW (Ukrydowiadomosci), an endeavour that resulted in a remarkable album.
Chango's a istic reach doesn't end there; they've also collaborated multiple times with Marek Kazana, fu her enriching their musical tapestry. Drawing inspiration from musical giants like Je Beck, Weather Repo , Medeski, and Frank Zappa, Chango weaves together a sonic tapestry that's both intriguing and exhilarating. More recently, Chango has entered into a conce and publishing pa nership with Konrad Słoka, promising exciting musical journeys on the horizon. But their contributions to the music scene go beyond their own pe ormances. Chango is also renowned as the organisers of the monthly "DZEM Session" in the Piwnica of the Kana theatre. This event has become a beloved fixture in the city, where music enthusiasts can witness musicians from various stylistic backgrounds coming together to improvise and create magical moments.
As for their discography, Chango has released two albums, "MONO vs. STEREO" (published by BIG FLOW, distributed by Dobrzemiesz Nagrania / Warner Music Poland) and "Utyczne do Młodych" (published by MYSTIC). These albums showcase their commitment to pushing the envelope in the world of music. Chango is a testament to the boundless possibilities of music when it's explored with curiosity and a willingness to challenge conventions.
